Midwest Water Sports Hull Plug & Boat Cover Policy
If your boat arrives at Midwest Water Sports with the hull plug(s) in, they will be removed and attached to the steering wheel of the boat in a clear plastic bag when it is serviced. It is the boat owner's responsibility to reinstall the hull plugs before launching the boat.
Minnesota law prohibits trailering a boat in the state with the hull drain plug(s) installed. If you forget, we will cover you and get the plugs out to help fight the spread of Aquatic Invasive Species AND protect you from an expensive ticket. If you do not know where the hull plugs go, PLEASE CALL BEFORE LAUNCHING THE BOAT! They are not optional.
Boat Coat Cover Policy
It is our intention to keep your boat in the condition you dropped it off in while the boat is in our care. When you drop off a boat with us, please leave it how you want it to be kept while it is here at Midwest Water Sports. Please install the cover before you leave our parking lot. If you need a hand installing the cover, please let us know. We would be happy to help. We will not be responsible for damage to boats left uncovered or covers/boat interiors due to dirt, rain, snow, or environmental conditions. If you drop it off properly covered with the tent poles installed, we will keep it that way while it is in our care. If your cover is not in condition to have on while towing please let us know when you drop the boat off. If your boat requires a move to off site storage, a water test, or delivery and special care is required, it is the owner's responsibility to notify before hand.
If you are having your boat picked up for service or storage, make sure the boat cover, cover tent poles, and bimini boot are in the boat. The boat can not be safely towed with the bimini deployed. Please install the bimini boot before having the boat picked up to avoid additional fees. We can not store a boat without a cover due to fire codes. If you have your boat picked up and the cover or bimini boot are not present in the boat, additional charges may apply and the owner takes respobsibility for possible damage to the bimini, cover, or boat interior.
